Dundee's School of Medicine offers a 5-year MBChB. It is based at Ninewells Hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals in Scotland. International applicants usually need A-levels or equivalent (Class 12 PCB), English proficiency (IELTS), the UCAT where the school requires it, and an interview. Indian students must also qualify NEET-UG to be eligible to practise in India.
UK medical degrees (MBBS / MBChB) usually take 5 years (6 with an intercalated degree or foundation year), followed by the 2-year UK Foundation Programme for graduates who work in the UK.
- Years 1–2: biomedical sciences with early clinical contact
- Years 3–5: clinical placements in Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, General Practice and more

- UCAT: most UK medical schools require the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT).
- Academic grades: very high Class 12 (or A-level/IB) results in Biology and Chemistry.
- English test: IELTS or equivalent for international students.
- Interview: MMI or panel interview.
- Application: through UCAS, usually by mid-October for the following year.
- NEET-UG: also required if you plan to practise in India later.
